Supporting Evidence in Local Delivery for Neighbourhood Renewal Unit

ERS was selected by the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (NRU) to deliver the year long North East regional pilot for its ‘Supporting Evidence for Local Delivery’ (SELD) Project. SELD provided support to the region’s NDCs, LSPs and other neighbourhood renewal practitioners. The services SELD offered included: a responsive one-to-one advisory service; bespoke analytical support; improved knowledge of the main source of data, intelligence and support available through events and training days; and examples of good practice in the use of evidence in neighbourhood renewal.

Particular areas of work included:

• Workshops on evaluation methods, worklessness, health data sources, and the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI)

• Guidance notes on data sources and indicators for worklessness; health; and LEGI/Enterprise

• Advice on data collection methodologies and analysis

• Identification of good practice / learning points

• On site liaison and support for regeneration partnerships and practitioners.
