Jonathan
Durnin BA (Hons) MA MIED
An Associate Director at ERS, Jonathan is a highly experienced
economist and project manager bringing a mix of evaluation,
policy advice, appraisal, economic impact, action planning
and strategy development skills to the team. Prior to
joining ERS, Jonathan was a Senior Consultant with Regeneris
Consulting, where he project managed a range of studies
for regional and national clients. Jonathan previously
held senior policy posts with Cumbria County Council and
before that research posts at the Centre for Regional
Economic Development in Carlisle, where his specialism
was in interfirm networks and industrial restructuring
in peripheral areas
He has developed a keen interest in impact evaluation,
having conducted work for The Sage Gateshead, an expanded
Durham Tees Valley Airport, and the relocation of GLOSCAT
FE College as part of the Gloucester Quays Development.
He has also recently conducted evidence analysis and bid
development for Local Enterprise Growth Initiatives, and
worked with a number of Local Authorities and LSP's in
developing their Local Area Agreements.
