Dr
Stephen Connolly PhD, BA (Hons), MIED
Dr Stephen Connolly is an Associate Director at ERS and
has more than ten years experience of research and consultancy.
Stephen has been involved in a wide range of projects
on behalf of Regional Development Agencies, local authorities,
Local Strategic Partnerships, Connexions, Learning and
Skills Councils, Community Planning Partnerships, local
economic development agencies, NMPs, NDCs, NRF Programmes,
and Urban and Rural Regeneration Companies.
These projects have included resource mapping exercises,
work in support of Local Area Agreements and Floor Target
Action Plans, baseline development, support for programme
development (e.g. LEGI), programme and project evaluations,
partnership assessments and reviews, local government
reviews, development of evaluation frameworks, consultation
studies and strategy development.
Stephen was awarded his PhD in 2004, and is also a member
of the Institute of Economic Development. His previous
employment includes being a Research Fellow at the Centre
for Regional Economic Development (CRED) at Northumbria
University, and a Doctoral Research Student and part-time
lecturer and tutor in Economics at Glasgow Caledonian
University.
