East Midlands Enterprise Advisory Service: The Next Steps (EMDA)

ERS have been appointed by East Midlands Development Agency to research the need for, and opportunities to develop, an Enterprise Development Service for educators and enterprise providers in the East Midlands.

This will involve:

• Consulting with the deliverers and funders involved in enterprise development to ascertain their views on number of issues;

• Surveying existing good practice from the East Midlands and other regions, in particular Yorkshire Forward and Wales;

• Work with Innovation East Midlands to align actions on the enterprise culture and innovation in schools agenda;

• Review the delivery of the Enterprise Advisory Service in the East Midlands and identify whether it is appropriate to develop this as a mainstream service;

• Consider options for next steps with SWOT analysis included and make recommendations for action.
