Leeds Neighbourhood Renewal Fund Programme Evaluation- Leeds City Council

ERS have been commissioned by Leeds City Council to undertake an evaluation study of the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF) Programme. Leeds has received over £35 million of NRF funds over the past 5 years, with a further £27.7 million allocated to the city over 2006-2008. The programme has helped to fund a wide range of initiatives which have contributed towards narrowing the gap, addressing disparity between deprived areas and the rest of the city.

The evaluation study is segmented into three elements including:

1. Programme Development and Performance to Date (2004-2006)

2. 2006/07 Mid-Year Strategic Review

3. Moving Forward

The second element represents the main focus of the work, providing a qualitative review of existing funded activity to support the alignment of the NRF programme into the Leeds Local Area Agreement (LLAA) as well as informing the prioritisation of projects for 2007/08.

The final moving forward element will provide advice to Leeds Initiative (LSP) and explore options on how resources should be managed both with and without future NRF allocations.
